All humans should live without exploiting other animals!

Because they are someone.

What we do

Abolitionist street activism

They Are Someone defends nonhuman animals against human exploitation. With our street action “Stand for Justice”, we work to dismantle the ideology that legitimises animal exploitation and treats individuals as property.

A turkey.
Her name is Wilma!

Wilma belongs to the turkey clan at Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, a group of rescued turkeys who live there together. Like every resident of the sanctuary, she is respected as an individual and lives in peace, freedom and joy.

Woodstock Farm Sanctuary in upstate New York was founded in 2004 by Jenny Brown and Doug Abe. Nearly 400 rescued animals live there today, and the sanctuary works to end the use of animals in agriculture.

How you can help

Building a movement for animal liberation takes people who are ready to stand up for nonhuman animals, and the resources to make our work possible. Join us in dismantling the ideology that legitimises animal exploitation, or support our mission with a donation.
